The Berlin based firm was partly relocated to Nuremberg during the post war turmoil.<br> Dr. Manfred Rau became a partner at the beginning of the 1970s, and after the then senior partner left the firm in the year 1981, he joined with Dr. Herbert Schneck. In 1991 Gerd Hübner joined the firm as a partner followed by Dr. Albrecht Rau in 1999 and Dr. Matthias Hofmann in 2004. <br></font> <br><br> <font class="contentBold">Clients and areas of practice<font><br> <font class="spacer"> <br></font> <font class="content"> For more than four decades we have been providing first class legal advice in the field of intellectual property in Nuremberg, mainly to large medium-sized industrial companies but also to large-scale industrial companies. Our clients are mostly based in German speaking countries but companies from other parts of Europe and from overseas are also among our clients.<br> Our main fields of practice include the drafting of patent applications as well as trademarks and registered designs. We have the necessary international contacts and experience to protect these intellectual property rights in all major countries of the world. We can rely on a dense world wide network of long-term working relationships with other patent law firms. To a considerable extent our work also includes court matters such as temporary injunction proceedings and litigation proceedings in cases of patent, trademark and registered design infringements, as well as preparing expert's reports. It lies halfway between the Church of St. Lorenz and the main market square (Hauptmarkt), just before the bridge (Museumsbrücke) which spans the river Pegnitz, facing the Heilig Geist Spital and the HypoVereinsbank. The entrance itself lies around the corner in Kaiserstraße, in the arcades nearby the Campo ice cream parlour. The office can be reached by foot in a matter of minutes from all car parks in the city centre. The nearest one is the Adlerstraße car park right behind the Karstadt department store. </font> <br><br> <img src="../../img/mape.jpg"> <br><br><br> <a href="#top">back to the menu</a> <br><br><br><br><br><br> <a name="car"><font class="contentBold">Arriving by car</font><br> <font class="spacer"> <br></font> <font class="content"> Follow the signs to the centre (Zentrum) until you reach the ring road, which runs parallel to the historical city wall.<br> If you are driving clockwise along the ring road, shortly after the Plärrer square turn right into the (signposted) Fürther Tor. Follow the road, at the end of which lies the Adlerstraße car park.<br> If you are driving along the ring road counter-clockwise - for example coming from Erlangen, driving past the Castle in the direction of the Plärrer - turn left at the Westtor (signposted). At the roundabout before the Wöhrl car park, turn directly right into the Karl-Grillenberger-Straße. Then turn left into Vordere Ledergasse leading to the Adlerstraße car park. Leave the car park through the lowest-level exit onto Kaiserstraße and turn right once you get there. At the end of Kaiserstraße you will find the Campo ice cream parlour to the left. Leave the underground station in the direction of Hauptmarkt (signposted). Keep half-right in the intermediate level and, immediately after leaving it via a ramp, turn left into Kaiserstraße. Leave the central station via the lower level in direction of the Old Town (Altstadt). From Königstor/Handwerkerhof you walk down Königstraße until you reach the other end in front of the Museumsbrücke. Alternatively you could take the underground from central station (U1 or U11 line) in the direction of Plärrer.
