Short history of the firm
The patent law firm RAU, SCHNECK & HÜBNER has its roots in pre-World War Two Berlin.
The Berlin based firm was partly relocated to Nuremberg during the post war turmoil.Dr. Manfred Rau became a partner at the beginning of the 1970s, and after the then senior partner left the firm in the year 1981, he joined with Dr. Herbert Schneck. In 1991 Gerd Hübner joined the firm as a partner followed by Dr. Albrecht Rau in 1999, Dr. Matthias Hofmann in 2004, Dr. Peter Bauerschmidt in 2006, Dr. Oliver Ruhl in 2007 and Dr. Stefan Hofmann in 2009. Clients and areas of practice For more than four decades we have been providing first class legal advice in the field of intellectual property in Nuremberg, mainly to large medium-sized industrial companies but also to large-scale industrial companies. Our clients are mostly based in German speaking countries but companies from other parts of Europe and from overseas are also among our clients. Our main fields of practice include the drafting of patent applications as well as trademarks and registered designs. We have the necessary international contacts and experience to protect these intellectual property rights in all major countries of the world. We can rely on a dense world wide network of long-term working relationships with other patent law firms. To a considerable extent our work also includes court matters such as temporary injunction proceedings and litigation proceedings in cases of patent, trademark and registered design infringements, as well as preparing expert's reports. The firm lies in the heart of Nuremberg and has excellent transport connections due to its
closeness to the main rail station and car parks as well as due to its immediate
proximity to the "Lorenzkirche" underground station. The Nuremberg international airport
lies only fifteen minutes away.A powerful team works in our spacious office rooms. Apart from competent team members our staff includes a patent draughtslady, multilingual secretaries, a physisist, two mechanical engineers and a further lawyer. Of course, our firm possesses all modern communication means such as a network-based IT for data and text management, with which we reach and use all appropriate databases relevant in the field of intellectual property. |
