	Short history of the firm The patent law firm RAU, SCHNECK & HÜBNER has its roots in pre-World War Two Berlin. The Berlin based firm was partly relocated to Nuremberg during the post war turmoil. Dr. Manfred Rau became a partner at the beginning of the 1970s, and after the then senior partner left the firm in the year 1981, he joined with Dr. Herbert Schneck. In 1991 Gerd Hübner joined the firm as a partner followed by Dr. Albrecht Rau in 1999, Dr. Matthias Hofmann in 2004, Dr. Peter Bauerschmidt in 2006, Dr. Oliver Ruhl in 2007 and Dr. Stefan Hofmann in 2009.
